Santander Orchestra is the first Polish edition of the cultural project for young musicians, students and young graduates of art schools. At the end of the year the orchestra will perform under the baton of renowned conductors, Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki and John Axelrod in the best concert halls in the country.
64-man squad Santander Orchestra was selected from among 120 submitted applications. Students of music universities from across the country will have the opportunity to hone their skills and prepare for a concert tour under the guidance of conductor and tutors, which will be recognized in Poland and abroad musicians and lecturers. The workshop will be held in the European Krzysztof Penderecki Music Centre in Lusławice. The first meeting was held on 19-21 September 2015., And another scheduled for 16-29 November 2015. In addition, the young orchestra musicians will participate in a coaching session, to gain knowledge of subjects such as self-presentation, communication media, finance and copyright. Such support for young musicians is invaluable and will be an opportunity to gain new experiences and work in quite a different environment than the terms offered work in the orchestra at the university.
Santander Orchestra is a joint project of the Foundation MyWay and Bank Zachodni WBK. Fingers crossed for the development of young musicians and we live in Lutosławicach, Wroclaw, Katowice, Warsaw and Szczecin!
